Current Community Groups

This winter there are several different groups meeting at different times and studying different topics.  Here is the list as of now, but the Sunday list and the church website will have more up to date lists (and also note when a group reaches it’s limit).

You can sign up for a Community Group during our Sunday Services.  Just enter which group you'd like to be apart of in our little green registration booklets.

Below you'll find more detailed descriptions of the study each group will be studying.  They are arranged alphabetically.

Connections

Though we are surrounded by people much of the time, it's possible to feel isolated. In fact, the Enemy works hard to keep us that way. But we have not been created to go it alone. Instead, we have been wired for community. Just as God lives in perfect community within the Trinity so we bear His image. When we understand who we truly are and that we have been designed to live connected in a myriad of layers of community, we find the abundant life that Jesus promised. Connections: Wired for Community leads small group members on a journey to discover what true community is all about. Beginning with an understanding of self that leads to a relationship with God, members learn how to connect to others in healthy ways within their groups, their families, their neighborhoods, and even among the nations. A complete life is a connected life—in Christ.

Freedom!

An old song laments, "freedom, oh freedom, that's just some people talkin'." The point being made is that true freedom doesn't exist. But Scripture tells us, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free." And this passage does not say that this freedom is conditional. We are not free only to obey the law. We are not free only to worship. We have not been set free only to live up to some—any—expectation. We have been set free simply because God does not want us living in bondage.

Game Plan for Life

Joe Gibbs and his team of experts tackle the most important issues facing men today. This six-week study is ideal for men of all ages. Three-time Super Bowl winner, NFL Hall of Fame coach, and three-time NASCAR champion Joe Gibbs has assembled a team of experts to tackle the key areas of life a man needs in order to lead a victorious life. Based on a national survey, the Gibbs team has identified the most important issues facing men today. This study leads men through key areas of modern-day life, to equip them to live victorious lives based on the ultimate playbook—the Bible.

Under Cover: The Promise of Protection Under His Authority

To walk in true spiritual authority, a believer must be submitted to God's sovereign authority. In this study, John Bevere shows readers how submission to this divine order grants the Kingdom's provision and protection. The author uses his personal mistakes to illustrate riveting truths about repentance and forgiveness. As he focuses on the true authority of God, he is careful to explain by example the important difference between "submission" and "obedience." The same struggle with divine authority is also represented through the lives of John the Baptist, the Apostle Paul, and other biblical figures.
