Youth

"The Revolution" is comprised of 7th through 12th graders who refuse to give in to the low expectations the world tends to have of teenagers and instead seek to follow Christ's call to live life to the fullest.

Join us each Wednesday evening (even during the summer) from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm as we worship the Almighty Creator of the Universe through music, prayer, study and just plain frivolous fun.

If you are looking for a group of students with whom you can share in the quest for the real Jesus Christ, then please join us. We love to have fun whether we are playing a game or worshipping God, we want to enjoy doing life together as a community of young people trying to get their minds around the idea of living their lives for a great big, radical God.

Spring Retreat at Camp Moses Merrill - March 23rd-25th 

Total cost is $85.  For those in grades 7-12: If you attend FBC services, Sunday School or the REVOLUTION the church will pay $42.50 of the 2012 Spring Youth Retreat at Camp Moses Merrill.

Registration forms and your half of the cost ($42.50) are due by Wednesday, February 29th.  Forms are available on the youth bulletin board outside the church office or you could just download it from the link below.  

IMMERSE

The American Baptist National Youth Gathering – “IMMERSE” is a five-day event (July 24-28, 2012) at the American University in Washington, D.C. that will feature high-energy and transformative worship along with providing youth with unique opportunities to do mission work in an urban environment. 

The ABC Nebraska region has made arrangements to charter a motor coach to transport youth from our churches to the event and back.  We will leave Kearney early July 23 and return to Kearney July 29th in the evening. 

Cost for the conference including all transportation costs to and from the event as well as travel meals is $769.  We will need the transportation registration and a $25 non-refundable registration fee to reserve your spot on the bus by Wednesday, February 22nd.  We will need a $100 non-refundable registration deposit by for the conference by Wednesday, March 15th. Balance due by May 12th.

FORMS

Medical Release Form 2011-2012: This form is required for any student wishing to accompany the REVOLUTION (a youth ministry of First Baptist Chruch) on any outing or function.  It is valid from September 1st, 2011 through August 31st, 2012.

Spring Retreat Registration Form (Due by Wednesday, February 29th)
